For drilling rig operators, crawler chain is a common problem. For drilling rigs, occasional chain off is inevitable, because the working environment is relatively harsh, and soil or stones in the crawler will cause chain off.

If the drilling rig often derails, you need to find the reason, because the derailment of the drilling rig is easy to cause accidents.

So what are the reasons for the derailment of the drilling rig?

Today we will briefly talk about the common reasons for the derailment of the drilling rig. In fact, there are many reasons for the derailment of the drilling rig. In addition to the impurities such as soil or stones in the crawler that can cause the drilling rig to derail, there are also faults in the walking gear ring, sprocket wheel, chain guard, etc. that can cause the derailment. In addition, improper operation can also cause the drilling rig to derail.

Let's talk about it briefly below.

1. Derailment caused by tension cylinder failure. At this time, you should check whether the tension cylinder has forgotten to butter and see if there is any oil leakage in the tension cylinder.

2. Derailment caused by severe wear of the crawler. If used for a long time, the crawler will definitely be worn, and the wear of the chain ribs, chain barrels and other parts on the crawler will also cause the crawler to derail.

3. Derailment caused by wear of the chain guard. Now almost all drilling rigs have chain guards on their crawlers, and chain guards can play a very important role in preventing derailment, so it is also very important to check whether the chain guard is worn.

4. Derailment caused by wear of the drive motor ring gear. For the drive motor ring gear, if it is severely worn, we need to replace it, which is also an important reason for the derailment of the drilling rig.

5. Derailment caused by damage to the sprocket wheel. Generally, oil leakage from the sprocket wheel oil seal will cause serious wear of the sprocket wheel, which will cause the crawler to derail.

6. Derailment caused by damage to the guide wheel. When checking the guide wheel, check whether the screws on the guide wheel are missing or broken. Check whether the groove of the guide wheel is deformed.

Above we briefly introduced the common causes of rig derailment, and more knowledge comes from practice.

Let's share the reasons for the derailment of the dth drilling rig and the tips to prevent it during the specific construction process!

Case 1: The walking device of the drilling rig consists of four wheels and one belt. The drilling rig uses crawler tracks to complete the walking. The crawler tracks are equivalent to its feet. When there is a problem with the two feet, that is, what we often call crawler derailment, we must pay attention and solve it in time.

Speaking of drilling rig derailment, the reasons for derailment, how to avoid derailment, and how to deal with and solve the derailment of the drilling rig are what we need to know.

Reasons for the derailment of the crawler track of the drilling rig: 1. Problems with the processing and assembly of the parts of the drilling rig itself; the loads borne by the main components during operation are large, and they are prone to wear after long-term use; 2. The tensioning cylinder fails and the crawler track is too loose; 3. The gap between the guide wheel, bracket and wear plate is improperly adjusted; 4. Walking on stones for a long time causes uneven force, broken crawler pins, worn chains, and broken; 5. There are foreign objects between the guide wheel and the crawler frame, improper walking operation, uneven force on the crawler track, which causes the crawler track to be torn or broken; How to avoid crawler chain derailment 1. When walking on the construction site, please try to place the walking motor behind the walking to reduce the squeezing of the sprocket wheel. 2. The continuous walking time of the machine cannot exceed 2 hours, and the walking time on the construction site should be minimized. If necessary, it is recommended to walk after a short stop in the middle. 3. Avoid protruding hard objects when walking to avoid stress concentration on the track chain. 4. Confirm the tightness of the crawler track. Adjust the crawler track to be tighter in soft places such as mud, and adjust the crawler track to be looser when walking on stones. It is not good for the crawler track to be too loose or too tight. Too looseness will cause the crawler track to derail easily, and too tightness will cause the chain sleeve to wear too quickly. 5. Check whether there are foreign objects such as stones in the crawler track frequently, and clean them if there are. 6. When working on a muddy construction site, it is necessary to idle frequently to discharge the mud deposited in the crawler track. 7. Try to avoid the drilling rig equipment turning in circles. 8. Regularly check the rail guard and the rail guard welded under the guide wheel.

If the drilling rig derails, it is a very serious matter. If you are not careful, it is easy to cause an accident. I hope that friends will pay more attention to it in their daily work.

Case 2: Generally, it is best to have the guide wheel in front on a road with one side high and the other side low. If the chain is off from the drive tooth side, it is generally because the supporting wheel is severely worn and cannot press the chain bone, causing the drive tooth to bite off the track.

It is easy for the guide wheel to be unlinked when one side is high and the other side is low, because when one side of the track is on an uneven road, it will cause one side of the track to be high and the other side to be low. The low side of the track can be derailed because the chain guard cannot press it. However, if the big head of the chain bone is facing the guide wheel, this problem can be solved, because on the contrary, the guide wheel can easily press the head of the chain bone and derail.

Maybe someone will say that if the drive wheel is installed like this, it will be easy to unlink. This is not a big deal, because the nature and structure of the guide wheel of the drive wheel are different. If the supporting wheel is not worn too badly, it will not be unlinked from this side, but the guide wheel is different. Even if your supporting wheels are new and the chain track is pressed correctly, it will be unlinked. This is the result of many unlinking practices.

Summary: There are many reasons for the drill rig to unlink. Generally speaking, if the chain is unlinked occasionally, it is mostly caused by soil or stones. Sometimes improper operation can also cause unlinking. If the chain is unlinked frequently, then we need to find the cause to avoid greater losses.
